Aim: To attract Ss’ attention to the lesson and lead in the lesson

Greet the class. Play hangman with some
irregular verbs, then introduce the topic
of the lesson.

2.1 Presentation - Practice ( 15 ms)
Part 1: Listen and write
1. Introduce the new words using
explanations, pictures, examples…Let
the students read through the words.
Teacher checks the meanings to make
sure the students understand.
2. Let the students guess the words in
the blanks.
3. Play the Class CD. Track 49. Students
listen and write.
4. Ask some volunteers to give their
answer and give feedback.

guess the mistakes.

listen and correct. Ask students to raise
hands to vote for the answers.

correct the sentences.

stories.

My dad and I went sailing last weekend.
It was great! My dad woke up very early
in the morning and he took up everything
like fishing tools, foods and drinks …
with him. He drove us to the river and he
rent a boat for our fishing. It was a small
boat, but the river was very good, so it
wasn’t smooth. We both loved fishing,
so we had a lot of fun together. My dad
taught me all about how to fish. He said
“Fish don’t like noise” so I had to be
very quiet on the boat. We didn’t catch
any fish, but we will go fishing again
next week.
