UNIT 20: WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO THIS SUMMER?
Lesson 3 (1, 2, 3)
I. Objectives.
By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:
1. Knowledge:
- Pronounce three-syllable words with the stress on the second syllable: de'licious,
e'normous, No'vember, and De'cember.
- Read the gapped sentences, listen and circle the letters showing the correct words
filling the gaps. Then say the completed sentences aloud.
- Say the chant: Where are you going?
- Sentence Patterns: Revision
- Vocabulary: Revision
2. Skills:
- Listening, writing and speaking.
3. Attitudes/ Quality:
- Ss look after, solve problems and study themselves.
- Studious and obedient students and love their family.
4. Forming competence:
- Communication and co-operation.
- Problem solving and creativity
II. Methods:
- Communicative approach, group Ss and T's activities, play as a character, teaching
methods with game, teaching methods by visual, teaching methods by practising,
discussion group, technical present....
III. Preparation.

- Have Ps to practice asking and

Task 1. Listen and repeat.
- Ask Ps to open their book on page 68
- Tell the class that we are going to
practise pronouncing the words:
de’licious, e’normous, No’vember,
De’cember.
- Ask Ps to look at the words on the
board. Pronounce the focused sounds a
few times as in model in chorus, pairs
and groups.
- Play the recording for Ps to listen and
repeat the words a few times.
- Ps practice in pairs or
groups.
- Open their book on page
68.
- Look and listen to
teacher.
- Listen and pronounce
these sounds correctly.
