UNIT 3: I LOVE ANIMALS

I./ OBJECTIVE:

1. Knowledge: By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to name the animals

they see.

a. Vocabulary: - Animals: frog, mouse, hippo, sheep, elephant, duck, cow,

bird, monkey, chicken, horse, lizard, snake, frog, lion, crocodile, spider, mice,

giraffe, panda, turtle.

b. Grammar: Plural with “s”

2. Ability needed

Groupwork and independent working, pair work, linguistic competence,

cooperative learning and communicative competence

- Skills: Name the animals. Talk, listen and write the names correctly.

3. Attitude: - Students can name the animals.

- Be friendly.

2.1 Presentation - Practice ( 15 ms)

Part 1: Listen and point then talk

Aim: Students can name the animals

1. Introduce the new words. Use pictures

to introduce animals. Continue until

students can produce the words on their

own.

2. Play the Class CD. Track 05. Students

listen, point and say along with the CD

3. Guide students to practice these words

by pointing to the pictures and name the

animals.

4. Introduce the pattern with the

vocabulary.

5. Guide students to practice in pairs the

new vocabulary, pointing at the pictures

in the book at the same time.

write section.

4. Games and activities:

Divide the students into two teams. In 3

minutes, each team member takes turn

and runs to the board and writes the

animals. The team with the most animals

with correct spelling is the winner.

Aim: Who can remember?

- Get the students stand in line of ten.

The first student says a sentence “ I like

rabbits”, then the second student repeats

and add one more animal “ I like rabbits,

I like monkeys”. The students keep

repeating the previous animals and add

one more. Who can remember the long

sentence is the winner.

Students stand in line, remember,repeat

and add more words they learn from the

lesson..

4. Out come and Homework (5ms)

Aims: SS will draw their favorite animals.
