UNIT 2: IT’S ME

I./ OBJECTIVE:

1. Knowledge: By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to identify parts of the

body.

a. Vocabulary: - Parts of the body: head, ear, nose, eye, mouth, neck, hand,

leg, foot, arm, knee, feet.

b. Grammar: Simple present statements with “This is …”, “These are..’

2. Ability needed

Groupwork and independent working, pair work, linguistic competence,

cooperative learning and communicative competence

- Skills: Identifying parts of the body. Talk, listen and write the names

correctly.

3. Attitude: - Students know how to identify parts of the body.

- Be friendly and confident.

1. Teacher: Textbooks, computer accessed to the Internet, projector

Aim: To attract Ss’ attention to the lesson and lead in the lesson

Warm up.

Greet the class. Wave and say Hello and

Hi. Review Unit 1 by encouraging

students to say their names/ their

2.1 Presentation - Practice ( 15 ms)

Part 1: Listen and point then talk

Aim: Students can identify parts of the body, listen and point.

1. Introduce the new words. Lead the

class by drawing a picture with parts of

the body.

2. Play the Class CD. Track 03. Students

listen, point and say along with the CD

3. Guide students to practice these words

by pointing to the pictures and saying the

names aloud. Link the language, they can

point to their own body and saying the

words.

4. Introduce the pattern with the

vocabulary. Point to your ears and ask

students How many ears? Elit the

response Two ears. Continue for all of

the new words. Note the singular and

plural parts of the body.

5. Guide students to practice in pairs the

new vocabulary, pointing at the same

time.

1. Direct students’ attention to Listen and

write section.

2. Play the Class CD. Track 04. Students

- Sum up the main content of the lesson.

- Students will draw a picture and identify

parts of the body

- Prepare Unit 3

listen and write the sentences.

3. Ask some students write the answers

then correct.

4. Games and activities:

Prepare some pictures with parts of the

body. Cover the pictures then ask them to

guess the pictures, say out loud the words

they learn.
