UNIT 16: MY FRIENDS AND I!

I./ OBJECTIVE:

1. Knowledge: By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to listen, write and

practise some of the structures, vocabulary that they may already know but may

have forgotten. They are introduced to the topic “Friends”

- Skills: Ss will be able to talk about listen, write and practise some of the

structures, vocabulary related to the topic “Friends”. Talk, listen, match and

1. Teacher: Textbooks, computer accessed to the Internet, projector

Greet the class. Write the word

2.1 Presentation - Practice ( 15 ms)

Part 1: Listen and write

1. Introduce the new words using

explanations, pictures, examples…Let

the students look at the book and read

through the words. Teacher checks the

meanings to make sure the students

understand.

2. Tell the students to guess the words in

the blanks.

3. Play the Class CD. Track 31. Students

listen and write.

4. Students compare the answer in pair

then teachers checks the answers with the

class.

Dear Peter,

I live in a small town, small but lovely.

My friends at school are friendly and

nice because they always help me. We

school. Sometimes, my friends get to my

house and we can play computer games

others. We think that one day we will

Part 3: Listen and correct

1. Put the students in pairs and find the

mistakes.

2. Play the Class CD. Track 33. Students

listen and correct. Ask students to raise

hands to vote for the answers.

4. Ask students to explain why they

chose to correct those mistakes.

5. Students practice the conversation.

Man: Are you going to go on holiday
