UNIT 13: WHAT’S THE WEATHER LIKE?

I./ OBJECTIVE:

1. Knowledge: By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to talk about the

weather.

a. Vocabulary: Snowy, cloudy, rainy, windy, stormy, sunny, hot.

b. Grammar: Question “What was the weather like last (Monday)?” and

answer “It was…….”

Aim: To attract Ss’ attention to the lesson and lead in the lesson

Warm up.

Greet the class. Ask students what

weather they like best and list some kinds

of weather they know.

2.1 Presentation - Practice ( 15 ms)

Part 1: Listen and point then talk

Aim: Students can talk about the weather .

1. Introduce the new words. Use pictures

or flash cards to introduce some words

about the weather. Continue until

students can produce the words on their

own the words.

2. Play the Class CD. Track 25. Students

listen, point and say along with the CD

3. Guide students to practice these words

by pointing to the weather.

4. Introduce the pattern.

student-made picture cards. Cards are

laid face-up. Choose a student to help
